TRAXmap has substantial experience in mapping terrain in areas of the world where maps simply do not exist. These maps can be created to client requirements and in many instances we do not make any charge for the mapping we supply with our tracking products. For bespoke Map Applications,TRAXmap will, in certain circumstances part fund the cost of creating maps with the client.

We are particularly experienced at creating highly accurate digital maps of roads, rivers and other geographical features to assist you in easy detailed planning and data analysis of routes required for your tracking service.

Our mapping experience ranges from creating country wide maps down to street level maps including full street names and landmarks. We have in depth experience of mapping in Europe and Africa and in some countries, our maps have become a benchmark for accuracy of the data they provide. Our map
creation experience ranges from creating street level maps of individual cities to entire country maps.

To date we have digitally mapped the spot town data of:

  • Most Countries in Africa
  • India
  • Pakistan
  • Afganistan
  • Papua New Guinea.

We have also successfully created detailed street level maps of many cities, some of which include Lagos, and Accra in west Africa. This mapping work is ongoing as we expand our mapping database in these regions.

All maps we provide seamlessly integrate into our software to provide you with a highly customised software solution, exactly produced to your requirements.

TRAXmap supplies high quality digital mapping services to corporate organisations and individuals.
We can digitise areas required from scratch and to date have created maps for several cities, where accurate digital map data previously did not exist. Our Map Engineers are qualified to at least MSc standard and are very experienced in the creation of digital maps.

You can view some working examples of our street level mapping on our route finder pages. All the maps and associated data we use are created by our Mapping Engineers, and we employ large numbers of field operators who check and confirm the accuracy of the data we produce.

How TRAXmap produces maps:
We purchase extremely accurate satellite photographs of the areas to be mapped. Using extremely sophisticated software, we then convert these images to digitised maps. Our Mapping Engineers do not have to physically survey the geographical areas to create maps. This work is all carried out electronically, from our offices in the UK.
Once the map is created from the Satellite Photographs, we then use our Employees on the ground to find additional data such as road names and positions of interest. We then include this data onto the maps we have produced.
