Address Search

This tool enables an address to be used as the basis for an address search. A map is then drawn with the selected address at its centre.

Pass the arrow cursor over the ‘Address Search’ button, click once with the left-hand mouse button.

This will bring up a panel like the one below.

Select the city you want to find an address, fill in the name of the street, click the search button and the map window will be updated with

the address entered.

Fill in the address details of property required. You can provide full or partial details. This means you do not need to know the full address you are searching for. It is possible to type in just the first few letters of a road name. For example, typing ‘Ogun’ into the ‘streetname’ box, will produce a list of all the road names beginning with ‘Ogun’ in the city selected, such as Ogunlana Street, Ogunlami street etc.. You can also use a wild card search if you don't know the full name by adding a % after a text string e.g. Sov%, which then finds every name beginning with Sov. Depending on the level of detail you have for the address, clicking the ‘Search' button  should return one address, or a list of addresses. If there are no addresses that match the details you have typed, a blank table will be presented, click on the  arrow button to start a new search or close the address search window.

The search can produce one or more than one address which will be presented in a table as shown below:

If the search produces a number of addresses in a list, you can select an address by moving the cursor over it, and clicking once. A map will be displayed in the map window with the selected address at the centre.
